I am a mom to ten children, eight of whom are adults who were successfully homeschooled. With over 25 years of experience, today I take great joy in helping other families benefit from my experience and knowledge. Whether that be in the capacity of assisting homeschool families or running a full curriculum for them.
Having taught Reading Resource in public school, I am experienced with the special needs of struggling readers, dyslexia, and Autism.
As a mother and veteran homeschooler, I’m proud to say that all my children have successfully graduated high school and have gone on to high education, jobs, and families. I love children, and I love what I do, teaching. I am also excited to provide a place in my home, where children can receive a good solid education in a loving environment. I understand how difficult it can be, especially when they are first starting to read, write, and do simple math, and I also understand the demands of homeschooling.
I am grateful as well that I can work with my daughter Nicole every day with the same love and passion I have for teaching.
I am a mom to four beautiful children ranging from nineteen to ten. I homeschooled my oldest, who is autistic, high functioning, till sixth grade when he was placed into public school. My oldest son graduated last May and is currently attending college and living on campus. All three of my younger children, 10, 11, and 14, are homeschooled and thriving, two of whom are Little People and dyslexic.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English and Creative Writing with a minor in Humanitarians and am currently working on my Master's Degree in English. I have tutored middle school, high school, and college in literature and writing for over five years and understand the demands of high school and college. I’m an adjunct professor specializing in remedial reading and writing classes. I also hosted a creative writing course at our local public and charter schools for middle school and high schoolers and loved every second of it. I love what I do, and because of that, I get immense pleasure out of helping those around me.
My 15-year-old granddaughter, Nicole’s daughter is our newest “helper.”
